New Monthly Online This Is Y Magazine
Welcome to Yorkshire’s annual glossy magazine This Is Y celebrates all the wonderful things that this great county has to offer. Thousands of copies are distributed regionally, nationally and internationally, as well as also being available online.
However, things have changed over recent weeks for all of us, Coronavirus has put a temporary stop to encouraging visitors to explore our county, to enjoy our vibrant cities, fantastic coastline and beautiful countryside.
Though this has not stopped Welcome to Yorkshire supporting and promoting our county’s fabulous businesses and visitor attractions. This is now a time, more than EVER for us to work together.
So for the first time in over a decade of Welcome to Yorkshire’s This Is Y yearly magazines, we’ve decided to create a monthly online mag and the May edition will be coming to you very soon.
It’ll be packed with our usual fabulous features, with places that we can plan to visit, as we all need something to look forward to when the green light goes to revel in the much-missed outdoor locations, art venues, heritage sites, restaurants, pubs, cafes and so much ‘moor’ again.
This Is Y will also have celebrity interviews, with the first edition hearing from the great gardening guru Alan Titchmarsh and creative cook Sabrina Ghayour, finding out what they’re up to during lockdown (separately, not together, although what a great TV programme that would make), as well as sharing some of their top tips for outdoors and in the kitchen, and of course their love of Yorkshire.
This Is Y will also feature lots of other inspiring and helpful stories from our Welcome to Yorkshire members. How businesses are adapting to the current climate, plus Welcome to Yorkshire have a team of business and tourism experts, sharing lots of advice on how to spend this time effectively, to be prepared and even stronger once we can welcome everybody to enjoy Yorkshire again.
Think gorgeous gardens, mouth-watering menus, fabulous films and tempting TV and it wouldn’t be lockdown without a quiz. Be inspired!
Now more than ever it's important to connect online and keep Yorkshire Together, by utilising our social media reach of almost 20 million people.
