Masons Yorkshire Gin
Masons Yorkshire Gin was created by Karl and Cathy Mason, gin enthusiasts with no prior knowledge of the industry who set out to produce a drink that stood out from the crowd, a unique gin with more character and more taste. The first Masons gin, The Original, launched on World Gin Day 2013, and since then Masons Yorkshire Gin has grown phenomenally.
Masons use a traditional slow distillation method, pure Yorkshire water and just the right balance of botanicals to create a distinctive award-winning gin. They have since added to their range to include Tea, Lavender and Peppered Pear Editions along with numerous Special Editions. They now have over 70 awards to date, some of their most recent awards include Gold at the prestigious New York World Wine and Spirits Competition and Gold Outstanding at the IWSC awards.
Unfortunately, on the 2nd April 2019, Masons suffered a devastating fire at their distillery in Bedale. The fire destroyed everything Masons had, including their distilling equipment, stock and office space. Within 24 hours the team were back up and running, their Head Distiller was using hired facilities to continue to distil their gin the same traditional way, staff were in temporary offices and they had a small unit where they were hand bottling and labelling the gin.
The team at Masons have recently revealed they will be moving into new premises and have already shared pictures of their brand new still, Steve.
